The spectacular head-butting of the Italian defender Materrazzi in the World Cup final was not enough to deny Zinedine Zidane his second Golden Ball title.
The Golden Ball is given to the Most Valuable Player in the World Cup.
Zidane fans would rejoice but many others have argued the case of fabulous Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro.
